Teenage Girl Missing from Sheriff's Ranch

BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Independence County authorities are investigating the disappearance of a teenage girl who is a resident of the Arkansas Sheriffs Boys & Girls Ranch.

According to Captain Bill Lindsey of the Sheriff's Dept., 17-year-old Chelsea "Kittie" Motta was last seen leaving the Batesville High School campus on Tuesday morning.  "When she got off the bus that morning, she was trying to find a ride to leave," said Lindsey.  "She has not been seen or heard from since then."

Motta is described as being 5-feet-4 inches tall and weighing approximately 100 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, but is known to "change her hair color often."

Anyone with information about Motta is urged to contact the Sheriff's Dept. at 870-793-8838.
