Ozarka Accepting Donations for Storm Victims

ASH FLAT, AR (KAIT) -  In Ash Flat and other Region 8 communities, the storm damage has been very severe.  With a great deal of damage and many without power and electricity, donations are being accepted to help relieve those affected.

Ozarka College's  Career Pathways Office is coordinating a collection effort to help those affected by the February 5th storms and tornados.

Tracy Cone, who is leading the effort, is asking for monetary donations.  Additionally, people can donate the following:

  • Non-Perishable Food Items
  • Water
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Toiletries
  • Paper Products

The Career Pathways office is coordinating area agencies and programs and will make sure your donations make it to one of the three locations of Ozarka:  Ash Flat, Mountain View or Melbourne.

People wanting to make a donation may do so at Ozarka in Ash Flat, Mountain View or Melbourne.  The Career Pathways office, human resource reception office or John E. Miller Building (office C117, Michelle Cooper) can assist.

For further details, contact Cone in Career Pathways at 870-368-7371.
