Ash Flat Residents Continue Clean-Up After The Storm

Ash Flat, AR (KAIT) -- It's the same devastating scene in Sharp County as residents there continue to pick up the pieces of their lives that were scattered by the storm.

Tom and Ronda Renihan left before the storm hit their house, but Tom returned home just hours after the storm passed.

He returned to little more than a pile of rubble.

While it took just seconds for the storm to destroy what took years to build, the family, like this community is united in their efforts to move forward with their lives.

"You know, we're all safe, we've got great people here who loves us. We'll survive," said Ronda Renihan.

The people in this community have really helped us out so much. I'm so thankful for the people here. It's amazing these people are so good to us," said Tom Renihan.

Ronda works at Highland High School and says volunteers, including cheerleaders and football players, have helped in their clean up efforts.
