North Delta Ag Expo Held in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Farmers from Southeastern Missouri and Northeast Arkansas gathered Friday at the NEA district fairgrounds to participate in the final day of the North Delta AG Expo.

The farming community got their chance to check out the latest technologies from other farmers, as well as from several vendors.

For most of them, it's a chance to showcase what they've got, while it's an educational experience for others.

Rick Crawford, AG Watch Network, "Hybrid rice is something they always want to see new varieties of, you know?  We've got new corn products and different kinds of varieties that are coming to the market place, new chemicals and things to that nature."

More than a thousand people showed up over the last two days at the fairgrounds to check out the latest in agriculture technologies and he hopes to see even more next year.
