Magnet Schools hold Open House

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) --For the next couple of weeks the magnet schools of Jonesboro will be holding their open houses to welcome potential new students.

Hundreds of parents and students turned out for the visual and performing arts school open house this Monday evening.

After a meet and greet with some of the teachers the school held a short program with a questions and answers session.

Principal Ron Williams says the magnet school system has been great for the Jonesboro public schools.

Other magnet schools in Jonesboro holding their open house are:

Math and Science on February 12 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm

International Studies on February 18 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Health, Wellness and Environmental Studies on February 19 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Micro-Society on February 21 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Magnet registration begins February 25- March 14.
