The New Madrid, Missouri man was cleaning the bin when he got sucked in.  Police say the 51 year old man was in a life threatening situation.

He was about three feet below the surface.  Rescuers were able to get air to the man using a pipe mechanism.

As his co-worker, Bobby Stanley describes how it happened, "Then all of a sudden, he got right there in the middle and he started sinking and stuff.  And I was slit piece away from him and turned around and tried to you know, tried to dig a space out."

After 3 hours, rescuers pulled the man out.  His mother says he's lucky to be alive.
