Suspect Sought in $140,000 Theft from Tyson Home

JOHNSON, AR - Authorities are still looking for one of three suspects reportedly involved in the theft of $140,000 in cash from the home of Tyson Foods chairman John Tyson in Johnson, outside Fayetteville in northwest Arkansas.

Ryan Silvey, 19, remained in custody yesterday on $50,000 bond.  Detective Denny Upton of the Johnson Police Dept. says Silvey and 19-year-old Bryce Anderson are suspected of taking the money during a December 27 party at the family home thrown by Tyson's daughter.  Also suspected of involvement with the money is 23-year-old Logan Lorenz.

Upton said yesterday that Anderson still had not been caught.

Lorenz went Friday to the Johnson Police Department with his attorney.  He was arrested on a theft charge and released on $10,000 bond.  Upton said Lorenz gave police an interview.

Tyson reported the theft to police on January 2.

Upton said police are following leads and trying to locate Anderson and trying to locate more stolen money and property.  Upton said some cash had been recovered but that he was still looking for an empty billfold and a set of tuxedo studs that were stolen.
