Suddenlink Announces $20 Million Arkansas Investment

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Suddenlink Communications announced today plans for a $20 million program this year in the state of Arkansas.

The money will be used to launch phone services, increase Internet speeds and add more high-definition TV channels in numerous locations.  "We're also spending to further enhance the overall quality and reliability of our services." said Randy Goad, Suddenlink's Mid South Regional Vice President.

Suddenlink has aggressively promoted its new phone service in ads and marketing and counts approximately 100,000 phone customers across the country, which is up from 30,000 in the previous year.  Suddenlink serves close to 1.3 million homes in the nation and more than 115,000 in Arkansas.

Suddenlink is the second-largest operator of its kind in the state.  Its largest system in the state is the Jonesboro system.
