ASU Plans 6:30 News Conference Regarding "Men's Basketball"

JONESBORO, AR - The future of embattled Arkansas State men's head basketball coach Dickey Nutt may be revealed this evening when the university's athletic department hosts a news conference at 6:30 in the Convocation Center.

A media advisory from ASU's sports information department states the event is regarding the "men's basketball program."  The event will not be open to the public, but KAIT will broadcast the event live, as well as live streaming video on www.kait8.com

The ASU men's team is currently 9-17 on the season, including a 4-11 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.  The team has lost seven straight games after last Saturday's home loss to Louisiana-Lafayette, and home attendance in the past few years under Nutt has declined rapidly.

Region 8 News will have more information on this developing story as it becomes available.
