Injured Deputy's Condition Improves

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - The condition of a Craighead County Sheriff's deputy who was critically injured in a car accident earlier this month continues to improve.

Sheriff Jack McCann says Donna Cromwell's condition is now considered 'stable'.

McCann says Cromwell underwent more surgery to her neck and back on Monday, and is expected to undergo even more surgery soon.

He also says her doctors are hopeful that she'll be able to return to Jonesboro for re-hab in approximately two weeks.

Many of you have emailed in and asked about her "partner's" condition in addition to her's.  Her K-9 partner suffered no injuries and is doing ok.
