West Memphis Doctor is Target of Federal Investigation

WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) - A West Memphis doctor is apparently the target of a federal investigation.  According to KAIT's Raycom sister station WMC, federal DEA agents say Dr. James Miller has been selling a dangerous drink made popular by rap artists.

The drink is called Sizzurp, which is a mixture of codeine-based cough syrup and pain pills.  The ingredients are legal, but the combination can create a dangerous and sometimes deadly high.

DEA agents yesterday raided Miller's office, looking for evidence.  The DEA has suspended Miller's license to prescribe narcotics.  At this time, the doctor is still able to practice family medicine.
