Doctor Investigated by DEA for Drug-Drink

WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT) - A Region 8 doctor is being investigated by federal authorities for allegedly selling a dangerous cocktail made famous by rappers.

Federal DEA agents say Dr. James Miller has been selling a dangerous drink made popular by rap artists.  The drink is a mixture of codeine-based cough syrup and pain pills.

The ingredients are legal, but the combination can create a dangerous and sometimes deadly high.

DEA agents have suspended Miller's license to prescribe narcotics but as of this time, the doctor is still able to practice family medicine.
