Your Morning

Temperatures will jump up slightly over the next few days to the mid-60s by Sunday, but don't expect to get there without a little precipitation.  Chris Castleman will have the full forecast on Good morning Region 8.

Former Jonesboro Alderman Alec Farmer will be in a New York City courtroom to answer a weapon charge today.  Farmer was arrested at LaGuardia International Airport back in January because police say he brought a loaded firearm into the terminal.  Farmer, who is considering a mayoral run in Jonesboro, says the arrest is a big mistake.  He said he was helping his daughter move and chose to bring a weapon to protect his daughter since she was moving to an unfamiliar area.

Campus police at Arkansas State University make an arrest in connection to this weekend's shooting of a football player.  Police say 20-year-old Brice Demand Parker is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm on school grounds after turning himself in.  Parker, who isn't a student at ASU, is free on a 25-thousand dollar bond.

To our south, a 10-year-old Little Rock boy faces felony gun charges after allegedly bringing a weapon to school.  Police say the boy took the gun and threatened an 11-year-old girl with it.  He was charged with possession of a firearm and terroristic threatening.  No one was injured at the incident.

Coming up on Good Morning Region 8...

Paragould Police are cracking down on traffic offenders.  They say violations are as bad as they have been in recent times and now, they're putting their foot down.

Plus, the housing market is cooling down and foreclosure rates are heating up but what does that mean for Region 8?  We'll tell you.

And a Pennsylvania man had a heated political discussion with someone, so he grabbed a knife and stabbed the person he was arguing with.  Jeanne Moos has a report you won't want to miss!
