VALLEY VIEW, AR (KAIT) - A group of Region 8 students are jumping at the chance to celebrate heart awareness month.
Valley View students are raising money for the American Heart Association this month with a jump rope contest. Students kindergarten through sixth grade all found sponsors to donate and them, they spent their time jumping rope in P.E.
The event is important to them because they all have known someone that's been touched with stroke or heart attack.
As one student, Will White, put it, "It's important to raise money for all the kids that have heart problems. Just so we can help them."
Nancy Best, Physical Ed. Teacher, "All of us at Valley View believe in the cause, so that's why we support it. We'll be doing it again next year too."
