Keith Boles is a native of Southern Idaho growing up near the Snake river Canyon. He got his first taste of journalism at the "First Segregation News" a weekly in Hazelton, Idaho where he learned to operate a Linotype machine at the age of 11 while his mom got her hair done on Wednesdays.
Joining the army at sixteen he spent the next 12 years in both the Army and Air Force stationed in California and many places around the world finally winding up in Little Rock, Arkansas.
After getting out he moved to Jonesboro to attend ASU, graduating in 1988 with a degree in Radio/Television. While in school he met his wife Denise whom he married later on that same year. They moved to Lonoke where Keith worked as Program Director for KLRA in England. Already he had a KAIT connection as the KLRA station manager was Gene Williams.
A couple of years later he witched over to television working for the UA Cooperative Extension Service as a videographer. His job included making training and educational tapes including a starring role as E-Mo Chicken in the still-used poultry production program for 4-H youth.
After ten years he moved on to another state job with the Civil Air Patrol and then later on to ADEM. By then the family had increased by two and Keith decided it was time to stay closer to home and took a job managing a golf course in Lonoke.
In 2001 his wife took a position here in Jonesboro and the family moved North. Working in retail until an opportunity came in February 2005 to move to KAIT as a photographer he again changed roles and once again got behind the camera.
He was given an opportunity in October of 2007 to begin reporting as a video journalist and hit the ground running. His trademark hats and orange coat show his love of the outdoors and getting out into the field as much as possible.
