Arkansas Guard Members Caught in Drug Bust

CAMDEN, AR - Two members of the Arkansas National Guard are accused in a drug bust in Camden.

The arrests came Monday after a year-long investigation.  Police seized 115 pounds of marijuana from a Camden home, as well as two firearms and more than $1,000 in cash.

Arrested were 27-year-old Specialist Larry Lewis, Jr., 34-year-old Staff Sergeant Terry King, 34-year-old Vincent Moore, and 45-year-old Reginald Jackson.

Police say the home where the drugs were seized belongs to Moore.

All four men face charges of possession with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and maintaining a drug premises.  Moore also is charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

A Guard spokesman says the military will take action against the two soldiers only if they are convicted.
