Trial Over Deadly St. Francis County Bus Crash Delayed

FORREST CITY, AR - The trial for a bus driver charged with four counts of negligent homicide after a deadly bus crash in eastern Arkansas has been delayed.

Court officials said Felix Badillo Tapia's trial will start no sooner than May 5, when a new criminal docket begins in St. Francis County.  His trial over the November 25 bus crash on Interstate 40 near Forrest City was to begin Thursday.

Police say Tapia, 28, of Brownsville, Texas, was under the influence of amphetamines at the time of the crash and didn't have a required relief driver with him.  He was driving a bus for Tornado Bus Co., based in Dallas.
