MONTICELLO, AR - A conference on biofuels is scheduled for later this month at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. The event is designed to provide a way for community leaders in Arkansas to hear from national experts in the field.
Congressman Mike Ross announced the March 27 conference yesterday.
Ross, who represents the 4th District in south Arkansas, says the U.S. can reduce its dependency on foreign oil by investing in biofuels and that Arkansas can become a leader in the biofuels industry.
The Arkansas Biofuels Conference will be held at the Fine Arts Center Auditorium on the UAM campus.
Ross is a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. He recently introduced a House bill that would invest in alternative and renewable energy.
