Man Dies at MissCo Plant After Being Crushed by Pipe

ARMOREL, AR - A coroner says a Mississippi County man working at a manufacturing plant has died after being crushed by pipe he was loading into a train car.

Mississippi County Coroner Mike Godsey says 29-year-old James Ivy of Etowah died instantly this morning when the pipe rolled back and caught him against a backdrop.  Godsey says Ivy's body will be sent to the state Crime Laboratory for an autopsy, which is mandatory after an industrial death.

Ivy worked at Tenaris Hickman, formerly Maverick Tube, which employs 1,102 people.
