CLOVER BEND, AR (KAIT) - Saturday, 4H clubs in Lawrence County gathered at the old Clover Bend school near Minturn to celebrate the centennial of the 4H club with a gathering and chili lunch.
4H is a community of young people across America who are learn leadership, citizenship and life skills. It's been in Arkansas since 1908.
One 4H member, Alysia Coles, said, "It's really cool. You can tell it means a lot to a lot of people."
Martha May, Lawrence County Extension staff chairwoman, commented, "We're hoping to bring back some of those memories and help people remember all that 4H has done over the years."
