NWA Farmers Surveyed on Environment

FAYETTEVILLE, AR - A student at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville is surveying northwest Arkansas farmers on their views on the environment and how they see their role in protecting it.  Laura Sossamon, an agribusiness major, is conducting the survey for her honors thesis and is working with a student in Belgium, who is doing a similar survey among farmers in that country.

Sossamon's survey asks questions about the types of conservation practices farmers use, such as recycycling or windmills, and asks for farmers views on global warming and water quality.
