ASU to Name New Basketball Coach Tomorrow

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Region 8 News has learned that officials at Arkansas State University are set to name a new men's head basketball coach tomorrow at 11 a.m.

The ASU job has been open since February 19, when former coach Dickey Nutt relinquished the position under pressure.

The news conference will take place in the auditorium of the ASU Convocation Center, and the event is open to the public.

Speculation has circulated that former LSU head coach John Brady would be taking the reigns following the cecesation of discussions with former Hogs coach Nolan Richardson.  This has not been confirmed by ASU chancellor Dr. Robert Potts, who declined to name any of the potential "three" candidates discussions took place with.

Region 8 News will carry the event live.
