Senate Pursuing Statue of Late Lt. Governor Rockefeller

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Members of the Arkansas Senate will commission a statue of the late Lt. Governor Win Rockefeller to be displayed at the state Capitol.

The Senate announced Friday that the list of sculptors under consideration has been narrowed down to three and their names will be announced Tuesday at a news conference at the Capitol.

Rockefeller died July 16, 2006, of a blood disorder.  He was 57.  A Republican, he abandoned his gubernatorial campaign after being diagonosed with an unclassified myeloproliferative disorder that can lead to leukemia.  He was the son of the late Governor Winthrop Rockefeller.
