Arkansas Medical Unit Heading to Iraq

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - About 35 soldiers in the Arkansas Army Reserve's medical unit at North Little Rock are being mobilized for the war in Iraq.  The soldiers are with Alpha Company, 94th Combat Support Hospital, 807th Medical Command, and will be attached to the 345th Combat Support Hospital out of Jacksonville, Florida.  They leave soon for several days of training in Jacksonville, then about two months of additional training at Fort Hood, Texas, before going to Iraq.  Their mission will be to provide medical care to wounded soldiers and civilians in the war.

A deployment ceremony for the soldiers is scheduled for next  Thursday at Camp Robinson.
