U.S. Attorney Jane Duke says 31-year-old Tyrone Jackson was the last person to be apprehended in the drug ring, which has led to 11 federal drug convictions so far. Jackson surrendered Thursday in Little Rock.
Jackson was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine from January 2002 through March 2005. His trial is set for May 5 before U.S. District Judge Leon Holmes. Jackson faces up to life in prison and a fine of $4 million.
Duke says federal drug agents seized about 18 kilograms of cocaine, 1.5 kilograms of crack and $100,000 from those involved in the ring.
