BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Some criminals break into peoples houses to steal. Others vandalize cars. According to Pemiscot County investigators, neither was the case with a Blytheville man, who they say stole 12 cemetery vases valued at around $3,000!
The man is 32-year old Tommy Gene Smith Jr. of Blytheville. Pemiscot Sheriff Tommy Greenwell tells Region 8 News that deputies were called to a local salvage yard Monday evening and learned there that Smith was trying to sell 12 cemetery vases.
Further investigation by Pemiscot County and Blytheville Police officials yielded the information that the vases were stolen from the Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
