DETROIT, MI (KAIT) - Rapper Eminem's (Marshall Mathers) mother, Debbie Nelson, is being sued over her new book.

Nelson published a book called My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on My Life as Eminem's Mother. She is being sued by a man who claims that he was still her manager and agent when the book was written.

The man, Neal Alpert of Birmingham, also claims that he gave Nelson the idea to write the book in the first place. A contract was written in 2005 stating that Alpert was to be in charge of all book, TV, radio and motion picture projects made by Nelson. He was also to recieve 25% of all profits.

Nelson was also involved in a suing her son's movie company after the movie Eminem created, 8 Mile. The movie depicted Nelson as a single mother who lived off welfare and had an abusive husband. Nelson later dropped the charges.

Her book was released in London and has allegedly sold over 100,000 copies.
