Senate Confirms Appeals Court Judge for State's Federal Bench Seat

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The U.S. Senate has unanimously confirmed Arkansas Appeals Court Judge Brian Miller for a seat on the federal bench.  The vote yesterday on Miller's confirmation was 88-0.

Miller takes over the seat that opened up when U.S. District Judge George Howard died last year.

Miller is a native of Helena-West Helena.  He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas and earned his law degree from Vanderbilt.  He has served on the appeals court since January 2007.
