Bay Man's Body Discovered This Morning Following Apparent Wreck near Bono

BONO, AR - A Bay man was discovered dead this morning following a one-vehicle accident that occured on Duncan Road/County Road 318 near Bono.

According to Craighead County Sheriff's Deputy Ed Parrish, a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Martin Davis was discovered partially submerged in approximately 40 feet of water near the Lost Creek bridge shortly before 10 a.m.  Authorities were called to the scene, and after the vehicle was pulled from the water, Davis's body was discovered inside.

Parrish said the exact time of the accident isn't known, but authorities have reason to believe it happened sometime between Saturday morning, when Davis was last seen, and this morning.  The submerged vehicle was reported by a resident of the Lost Creek area who was walking over the bridge and noticed it.  Parrish indicated that the vehicle was probably not visible from the roadway by passing motorists.
