LITTLE ROCK, AR - A spokesman for the Army Corps of Engineers says more rain in Arkansas could mean another round of widescale flooding. The floods began after heavy storms March 17 and rains since then have kept river and lake levels high in parts of the state.
Spokesman P.J. Spaul of the Army Corps says residents in the White River basin should keep their guard up with the potential for more rain and flooding. The corps opened spillway gates at Beaver, Table Rock and Bull Shoals yesterday. The agency also released water from three other lakes in the White River drainage basin...at Norfork, Greers Ferry and Clearwater.
