Jonesboro to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo on Saturday

JONESBORO, AR - Cinco De Mayo, the Hispanic Celebration in May Arts & Music Festival is set for Saturday (May 3) at St. Bernard's Auditorium in Jonesboro.  The festival begins at 10 a.m. and will continue until 3 p.m., with a dance to be held from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

People from Jonesboro and the surrounding area are encouraged to enjoy and share in the Hispanic culture.

The event is a celebration of Hispanic heritage, combining live music, salsa dancing demonstrations and lessons, food, art & crafts, activities for children, contests and family-oriented activities.

Last year's festival drew more than 1,500 people, and organizers say more are expected this year.

More information is available by contacting the Hispanic Community Services Center at 926-1118 or by e-mail at ginag@jhcsi.org
