Jonesboro to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo on Saturday

JONESBORO, AR - Cinco De Mayo, the Hispanic Celebration in May Arts & Music Festival is set for Saturday (May 3) at St. Bernard's Auditorium in Jonesboro.  The festival begins at 10 a.m. and will continue until 3 p.m., with a dance to be held from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

People from Jonesboro and the surrounding area are encouraged to enjoy and share in the Hispanic culture.

The event is a celebration of Hispanic heritage, combining live music, salsa dancing demonstrations and lessons, food, art & crafts, activities for children, contests and family-oriented activities.

Last year's festival drew more than 1,500 people, and organizers say more are expected this year.
