24 Suspected Illegal Immigrants Arrested in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Federal agents say they have arrested 24 suspected illegal immigrants working at a construction site near the Little Rock National Airport.

Temple Black, a spokesman for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at New Orleans, said the 24 men were arrested Wednesday morning as police served an unrelated warrant on the job site's supervisor.  Black said federal agents began interviewing the men and checking their identification documents shortly after the raid.

A spokesman for the airport could not be immediately reached for comment.

Wednesday's raid comes two weeks after an immigration raid on a Batesville poultry plant.
