Meteorologists Confirm at Least 8 Twisters in Friday Storms

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Meteorologists say at least eight tornadoes swept the state in a deadly blitz Friday, killing seven and damaging hundreds of homes.

The National Weather Service has confirmed eight tornadoes: one in Conway, Van Buren and Cleburne counties, one in Grant and Pulaski counties, one in Dallas and Grant counties, one in Carlisle, one in Monroe County, one near Cotton Plant and two others in Crittenden and Mississippi counties in east Arkansas.

The National Weather Service says meteorologists will conduct an aerial survey today to continue surveying damage in Jefferson and Lincoln counties.
