Hayti Man Gets Life Sentence on Drug Charges

HAYTI, MO (KFVS) - A Hayti man faces a sentence of life in prison and a $4 million fine after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine.

Ronald Johnson, 22, was pulled over by Poplar Bluff police for a traffic violation.  The stop led to his arrest after officers found more than 220 grams of crack cocaine, 125 grams of cocaine powder, and a set of digital scales inside his vehicle.

Sentencing for Johnson is set for July.
