Arkansas Cops to Get Anti-Terrorism Training

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - The Arkansas Anti-Terrorism Task Force will sponsor a one-day session for law enforcement personnel from throughout the state on "Preventing Terrorism in the Natural State" tomorrow.

The training will be led by David Harel of Tel Aviv, Israel, from the security consulting company, Asero Worldwide.  Harel is a former Israeli Security Agency officer.  He retired from the agency after 23 years of service in a number of positions dealing with counter-terrorism and protective security.

The training is part of an on-going effort to prepare state and local law enforcement personnel in understanding the possible threat, preventative measures and responses to terrorism-related events.

The training session is being co-sponsored by Jane Duke, the U.S. Attorney for Eastern Arkansas.
