Dexter Rebuilding Municipal Airport

DEXTER, MO - The southeast Missouri city of Dexter is rebuilding its airport after it was damaged by high winds in January.

City Administrator Mark Stidham says insurance is covering some of the damage.  The city is also pursuing federal and state grants or low-interest loans, and should know by the end of May what funding will be available.

Stidham says severe weather in recent months has slowed the cleanup effort, but work continues.
