Governor Beebe to Visit Stuttgart Today

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Mike Beebe will visit Stuttgart this morning to survey damage from Saturday night's tornado and to meet with Arkansans impacted by the storm.  Beebe is scheduled to land at Stuttgart Municipal Airport about 10 a.m., receive a briefing and tour damaged areas.

"In this endless season of severe weather, another Arkansas community now faces the challenge of rebuilding, and others again are picking up after damaging storms," Beebe said.  "It appears everyone in Arkansas survived this latest outbreak, and for that we are grateful.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to our sister states that saw a much steeper toll of human life from Saturday's tornadoes."

Beebe reminded Arkansans that Arkansas 2-1-1, which was launched last week, stands ready to help storm victims who need information about disaster services, as well as Arkansans wanting to provide help themselves.  The call to 2-1-1 is free.
