JONESBORO (KAIT) - Attorneys representing Westside School shooter Andrew Golden have filed a motion of protective order to stop a deposition scheduled for this Thursday.
Attorney Bobby McDaniel tells Region Eight News that Golden's attorneys have filed a motion of protective order to stop the release of the location and any information obtained in the deposition to the media.
McDaniel says it is the media's and the public's rights to know information obtained through the deposition, and he plans to oppose the filing as soon as a hearing can be set before a judge.
Golden was released from prison one year ago after aiding in the 1998 Westside School Shootings.
McDaniel says he hopes to get the deposition rescheduled quickly.
Region Eight News will continue to follow this story and have the latest as it becomes available.
