SIKSTON, MO (KAIT) - The final project to add additional lanes to U.S. 67 in Butler, Wayne and Madison counties in southeast Missouri is now under contract as the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the final contract yesterday. The $31.6 million contract was awarded to a St. Charles company.
The project involves grading, paving and bridges from north of the Route EE intersection at Coldwater to south of Route K near Silva. In this portion of the upgrade, sections of the additional lanes for the road will be constructed on the west side of the existing route and some sections will be constructed on the east side.
The project also includes an interchange at Silva.
