Smoking in Teens Declines

HEALTH NEWS (KAIT) - The amount of teens who smoke has declined since recent studies.

The number of teens smoking peaked in 1997 and has dropped nearly 20%.

This study, taken every two years, also showed that illegal drug use in teens has dropped dramatically.

The use of marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamine has decreased in teens around 4-19%.

A group called the Marijuana Policy Project helped with this study and they hope to regulate the use of marijuana. They hope to make marijuana regulated enough to allow it to be legal, and less appealing to teens.
