BOONEVILLE, AR - A television station reports that documents show the superintendent of the Booneville School District was fired after being accused of having sex with another school employee on school property.
Fort Smith television station KHBS says documents obtained through a state Freedom of Information Act request show the district hired a former U.S. attorney's office employee to intervew potential witnesses. The station reports allegations against fire superintendent Bobby Ashley claim he had sex during school hours with the unnamed employee and got prescription medicine from another employee.
The station says Ashley also was accused of sending explicit text messages to the unnamed employee and altering a school gas log to provide fuel for his personal use.
The Booneville School Board fired Ashley in May.
