Beebe Denies Commutation Request of Former Marked Tree Coach

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) - Governor Mike Beebe has denied the request of a former Marked Tree High School coach that his six-year prison sentence be commuted.

Rob Jennings was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Dept. of Correction in 2005 after pleading guilty to four counts of second degree violation of a minor.  Jennings had originally been charged with 19 counts of the same crime, as well as two counts of rape and first degree violation of a minor.

Jennings state sentence is to run concurrently with an 8-year federal sentence that was also handed down against Jennings in 2005.
