Former Senator Ordered to Provide Financial Info to Ex-Wife

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Former U.S. Senator Tim Hutchinson has been ordered to hand over financial information to his ex-wife to reveal whether he's complying with their 1999 divorce agreement.

Pulaski County Circuit Judge Mackie Pierce ordered the former senator to disclose the information in response to a lawsuit filed by Donna Hutchinson, now a Republican state representative from Bella Vista.

Donna Hutchinson sued her former husband, saying she's not sure whether he's paying her enough alimony.  Tim Hutchinson resisted revealing the information, saying that his ex-wife simply wanted to harass him and that he's paid almost $600,000 to her since 1999.

Tim Hutchinson, who campaigned on a family-values platform in his 1996 Senate campaign and previous political races, divorced his wife in 1999 after nearly 29 years together.  A year later, he married former aide Randi Redholm.
