AETN Replaces Signal Antenna Lost in November Tower Collapse

CONWAY, AR - The Arkansas Educational Television Network says it is about to resume broadcasting for its central Arkansas station, KETS.

AETN lost its transmitter for the central part of the state when a 2,000-foot television tower belonging to Little Rock televison station KATV crashed to the ground last November.

AETN said it expected work to be finished by Friday night on the emergency antenna at the KASN tower near Little Rock.

KETS will resume broadcasting on analog channel 2 until Feb. 17, 2009, when analog broadcasting will be replaced by 100 percent digital broadcasting.

The KETS digital service was not affected because its transmitter is housed in an alternate location.
