Governor to Spend Day in Region 8

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Governor Beebe will spend his day in northeast Arkansas today.

The state's chief executive will begin the business portion of his day in Greene County, where Anchor Packaging will break ground on a new $40 million expansion of its existing facility in Paragould.  The ceremony is set for 10 a.m.

At noon, Beebe is due in Corning, where he'll participate in a ceremony certifying Corning as an Arkansas Community of Excellence (ACE).

The governor is expected in Hoxie at 2:30 this afternoon, for another ACE certification ceremony for that Lawrence County community.
