MAMMOTH SPRING, AR - Authorities say a train derailment that shut down Mammoth Spring State Park last month was caused by a railroad employee who forgot to set a brake, causing the cars to come loose and strike another train.
Fulton County Sheriff Walter Dillinger says three cars tumbled into Mammoth Spring Lake in the June 3 derailment.
BNSF spokesman Joe Faust says he's not aware of any workers being fired over the incident.
"It's still under investigation," Faust said. "When the investigation is complete, we'll issue a preliminary report of what occured."
No one was injured in the derailment, and the park reopened a day later.
