SMART CAR CARE In this day & time next to your home, a car is likely the second most expensive purchase you will make. That's why it makes economic sense for owners to take proper care of their vehicles. This can be achieved through preventive, and routine maintenance. Just follow these four important steps to keeping your car operating in safe, and cost efficient manner.
STEP-1: CHANGE THE OIL ! Change the oil every 3,000 miles or every three months. Whichever comes first. A regular oil change will prolong the life of your vehicle, and keep it running smoothly. Also, don't forget to have your air filter checked, and the other vital fluids. Remember, the fluids are the lifeblood of the car, and the air filter is the lungs.
STEP-2: CHECK THOSE TIRES ! Your tires take a beating all year long. There are three things you can do to save the life of your tires. 1. Rotate them. Every 6,000 miles, or an easy way to remember "every other oil change". 2. Keep them properly inflated. They deflate in the winter & inflate in the summer. So check the pressure periodically. 3. Keep your car aligned & the tires balanced.
STEP-3: BELTS ! I could also say belt since a lot of cars only have one that does the work of three. If the belt fails so could the water pump & air conditioner. Your car is totally relying on it's belts or belt to be in tip top shape.
STEP-4: Coolant; Battery; Hoses. Three items that can make a huge difference in the way your car performs, and last.
Need I say more ? The four steps I mentioned will get you on the right start to taking care of your investment.
