Anheuser-Busch Reportedly Agrees to InBev Sale

ST. LOUIS, MO - If shareholders and regulators approve, Anheuser-Busch will soon be owned by a company from Belgium.

The St. Louis-based beer company agreed to be acquired by Belgian brewer InBev yesterday.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Anheuser-Busch agreed to be bought out for $52 billion.

The deal would create the world's largest brewer and create the fourth-largest consumer product company worldwide.  The Journal cited anonymous sources who said Anheuser-Busch would be the new company's name and Anheuser would have two seats on the board.

The newspaper said the deal was $70 for a share, a $5 increase over the Anheuser-Busch rejected in June.
