Lawrence County Authorities Investigating Suspicious Death

IMBODEN, AR (KAIT) - Detectives with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department are investigating the suspicious death of an Imboden woman who died Saturday night.

According to Lt. Stan Finley of the sheriff's department, deputies were called to the scene at 201 Main Street in Imboden after a 911 call was made at 10:16 p.m. regarding an "unresponsive female."  Finley says deputies were called to the scene because a man at the residence was being "disorderly" when paramedics arrived.

Finley says they do have a "person of interest" in the case, but NO arrests have been made at this time.  Lt. Finley said the person of interest is related to the victim, but would not reveal the identity of the man or the victim, citing an on-going investigation.

The victim's body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
